Pastor David Zhang was born and raised in Fujian Province, China. He studied and worked in Shanghai, Hangzhou, and Beijing for many years. He was converted and baptized at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and began serving in campus ministry and theological translation. From 2016 to 2020, he earned a Master of Divinity degree from Bethlehem College & Seminary. In 2021, he was called to serve as the Mandarin Pastor at the Laguna Chinese Baptist Church. Pastor Zhang and his wife, Lily, have two daughters and one son. Pastor Zhang has quite a few hobbies including martial arts, calligraphy, photography, and enjoys classical music.
