Ministries Overview

Here at Laguna, we care for people in different life stages. We have fellowship groups starting from 3rd grade up to post-college. For adults beyond the college age, we have small groups that meet regularly for Bible Study, accountability, and prayer.

We also have more focused ministries. We have women's ministry groups, an outreach to seniors, and a community information center, where we help new immigrants adapt to life in America. Adult

Sunday School

The English adult class studies various biblical topics (biblical counseling, New Testament history, Christ-centered fellowship, etc). Classes take place at 10:45AM - 12:15 PM. Beginning September 1, 2024, we will resume our study in the book of Genesis. For more information, email us at smallgroups@lagunabaptist.org.

Adult Small Groups

At Laguna, we believe small groups help to facilitate spiritual transformation and growth for the individual, the group members, and the community. Women's Enrichment Ministry

Our mission is to bring together women of all ages and life stages for mutual edification and ministry opportunities. As women grow and mature in godliness, they are better equipped to nurture and serve in their families, to enrich the church, and to evangelize their communities.

We host a weekly Bible study on Wednesday mornings, as well as various other events and workshops throughout the year, where women can bring friends, learn daily living skills, enrich their spiritual lives, and fellowship with other women. Naomi

This is a monthly support and outreach for single moms/single women (ages 30+) who may need encouragement and direction to navigate resources as a single person and who desire to grow in Christ. Together, we participate in a book or Bible study, share praises, and pray for one another. Currently, we meet on Zoom on the last Sunday of every month at 3:00PM. Senior Gospel Center

The Senior Gospel Center primarily ministers to retired seniors. Our purpose is to connect with seniors through games, table tennis, and exercise to share the gospel with them weekly. Our devotionals are offered in Cantonese and Mandarin separately. We meet every Tuesday from 9:00AM-12:00PM. For more information, email seniorgospelcenter@lagunabaptist.org. 

Men's Ministry

Our mission is “To glorify God by making spiritually mature men who fulfill God-given roles in the home, church, and community.” Our Core Values are focused on Christ-Centered, Intergenerational Relationships. We host bi-monthly men's fellowship and prayer meetings on Saturday mornings from 9AM - 11AM. Please email mensministry@lagunabaptist.org for more information or questions.

Men's Basketball

We have an English-speaking ministry for men (ages 20+) who wish to play basketball with and pray for one another. We share our struggles, how God has impacted our lives, and pray and keep in touch with each other. We meet every Tuesday from 7:00-9:00PM.

Kairos: Young Adult

Kairos is the English young adult ministry (under 30) of Laguna. Modeled after Ephesians 5:15-17, our goal is to provide deeper connection within the local church through large group Bible study, small group accountability, and fellowship events. We meet for large group on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Thursdays at 7 PM in the red ETC building and on various weeknights for small groups. For more information, email us at kairos@lagunabaptist.org.

Youth (7th - 12th Grade)

Radiate Youth Group is LCBC's community of teenagers (7th to 12th grade), their families, and other adults who strive to disciple teenagers through the years of transition from childhood to adulthood (also known as the infamous "teen years"). Radiate's mission is to glorify God by rooting teens in Christ who will grow into adult disciples. This ministry strives to partner with parents as they fulfill their calling to disciple their teens to know and love Jesus Christ above all else. Radiate offers a number of opportunities for our teens and their families, including Youth Sunday School on Sunday mornings, Friday night fellowship meetings, Summer Camp, Winter Retreat, and more.

Children

Nursery

We are delighted to have the opportunity to serve children from 6 months to 3 years old. We meet every Sunday during morning worship service. Our desire is to love, nurture, and help our little ones develop their relationship with Jesus by teaching Biblical truths and principles, through age-appropriate means, in an unconditionally loving environment. Sunday Worship (Primary/Junior Church)

Primary Church serves children from Kindergarten to 3rd grade. From 9:00AM-10:30AM, children will worship through songs, prayer and Bible lessons. There will be a short play time outside. 

Junior Church serves children from 4th to 6th grade. Children will attend morning worship in the MPR at 9:00AM, and then from 9:30AM-10:30AM they will participate in Bible lessons and other activities. For more information, email us at childrensministry@lagunabaptist.org.

Sunday School

Children's Sunday School is for children in Pre-Kindergarten to 6th grade. Children learn about the Bible through activities, stories, discussion, and Scripture memorization. The same Bible passage is studied across the grades every week but tailored for each age level. For more information, email childrensministry@lagunabaptist.org.

Crusaders

Crusaders is a fellowship group for boys in 3rd to 6th grade. Typical meetings include prayer time, worship, a Bible lesson, and games. Special activities include game nights, project building, and off-site meetings for pizza or ice cream. Our prayer is that the boys will learn how to be a blessing to others through serving Christ. The Crusaders motto is "Equip and train soldiers for a lifelong commitment to serving our Commanding Officer, Jesus Christ.” We meet the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Fridays of each month at 7:30 PM. Girls in Action

Girls in Action (GA) is a fellowship group for girls in 3rd to 6th grade. We meet to encourage girls to put their faith in Christ as Savior, to grow and deepen their relationship with God, and to share their faith with family, friends, and beyond. We meet the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Fridays of each month from 7:30PM-9:30PM for singing, prayer, Bible lessons, games, crafts, service projects, and more.
