After the English worship service, we offer Sunday School classes at 10:30am for children from preschool (starting two years before entering kindergarten) through grade 6. Students are grouped into classes by age: preschool, kindergarten, 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. Our emphasis is on prayer, Bible study, memorization of Scripture, and application of the Bible to our lives. Bible truths are often taught through music, art, and games. To learn more about Sunday School at LCBC, please pick up a copy of our quarterly newsletter.

For kids who are in grades 7 to 12, there is Discipleship Training School (DTS) with classes for middle school students and for high school students. Classes take place while the Chinese worship service is in session from 11:00am until 12:15pm.

For middle and high school students, at 9:00am, they worship in the sanctuary during the English service. After the service, there are Discipleship Training School classes: one for middle school students (ETC 213) and one for high school students (ETC 212).  Teachers will lead students in small groups through Bible study to understand God’s  purpose and plan for their lives.

Children's Ministries

The nursery is a safe and loving place where infants and toddlers are cared for while parents worship or attend a Discipleship Training School class. Volunteers teach the toddlers about God through circle times.

The preschool class is only for children who will enter kindergarten within two years. Parents may sign in their child in room ETC 206 (the red Equipping Training Center building).

In room 206, we have an Activity time for children three and four years of age beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at 10:30 a.m. It is mostly a play time, with a brief circle time that includes a Bible lesson and related activity.

Children’s church on Sunday morning 9 a.m. to 10:30 is when we worship God with songs and teach children through interactive lessons in a classroom. Children from kindergarten to grade 3 go to primary church (room 205).

Children go to the sanctuary where the first three rows on the right-hand side are reserved for them. They participate until the sermon begins, at which time the teacher leads them to the classroom (ETC 201/214) for a kids lesson. We want kids to know that God loves them and has a great plan for their life.

Youth Ministries

G.A. is a group of girls 3rd grade through 6th grade. Girls can grow closer to God through worship, prayer, Bible study, service to the church, and fun activities (games and crafts). In addition, they are encouraged to share the Gospel with unsaved friends and family members, make friends with other G.A.s, and become leaders through opportunities within G.A.

All boys who are in 3rd through 6th grade are welcome to join Crusaders. The motto of Crusaders is to “Equip and train soldiers for a lifelong commitment to serving our Commanding Officer, Jesus Christ.” Activities include off-site meetings and bowling, laser tag, and ice cream shops; project building, game nights, Nerf gun battles, and fun physical fitness challenges. The meetings include a prayer time and a Christ- or Bible-centered lesson or theme that teaches the boys how to live in such a way that they are a blessing to others in serving Christ.
